To go from one place to another,   from one state of mind to another, from one thought to its opposite, from an emotion or a feeling to another, it is what we all do every moment of our lives...
Our European and international partner artists from Greece, Germany, Belgium, France, America,  Iran, Uzbekistan invite you on a theatrical journey where you will be guided to try, imagine and transform.

Saturday 19 Nov.

Learn all about the Master Classes and those who run them!

Master class  1 / Mille et une scènes,  ile de France.

Directed by Irene Golovine, director, actress and principle representative of Mille et Une Scenes and Hamid Reza Javdan, director, actor and pedagogue who began his career in the Iranian Theater and in the United States at the Living Theater. Unrepentant traveler, his travels have led him to encounter masters of different theatrical traditions: Commedia dell Arte, mask and Balinese martial arts, Nô theatre... He is also a professor of masked theatre at Paris University - Sorbonne

How to cohabit the Tower of Babel ? Speak all languages, explore body language, discover the scope of rhythm, words and storytelling.

An approach based on theater exercises and with the use of masks to let our imagination surprise us.

The construction of a character is done from a story, would it be possible that our own individual can also be transformed by the story that we cultivate? Could theater tools contribute to this transition?

Sunday 20 Nov.

debates will be moderated in turn by our partners and our theater and professional training friends

Melanie Christensen

After a degree in educational psychology in her native city of Seattle (USA), trained in theatre, masked theatre and puppetry in France, Melanie Christensen has for over twenty years directed workshops with a wide variety of participants : young children, differently abled and persons on the spectrum, high-risk middle school students, geriatric patients. Most recently her work has focused on projects combining theatre and music, in collaboration with the Paris National Opera outreach programme, the Ensemble Duruflé, Les Talens Lyriques, and the choral ensemble "De Plein Coeur et de Vives Voix".

"All the world's a stage" : how can theatre help ease the transition from the role of student to that of "actor" in the professional world? I will share my experience working with theatre as a means of developing professional identity in engineering students.

Over the course of these two days, both stage professionals and participants will have the opportunity to discover local, national and European initiatives and, in doing so, to forge links with others.
